Accor Opens ibis Styles on Finikoudes: A Signal for Central Larnaca
International hospitality group Accor is strengthening its presence in Larnaca. The ibis Styles Larnaca Finikoudes Beach has opened on the Finikoudes waterfront as a fully renovated hotel with 47 guestrooms in several categories. Selected rooms include balconies and views over the city and the Mediterranean Sea. For the property market, the location matters as much as the hotel itself: an international brand has chosen the city’s prime central seafront.
What the project includes
The hotel stands just steps from Finikoudes Beach and its palm-lined promenade. The property includes Premium Sea View rooms with large private balconies, as well as six connecting rooms designed for families and groups. It operates under an Accor franchise agreement, while F & G Hospitality manages the hotel.
This is not the partners’ first property in the city. F & G Hospitality also operates Mercure Larnaca Beach Resort and Mercure Larnaca Finikoudes Beach. Larnaca is therefore developing a visible cluster of internationally branded hospitality assets connected to the same global group.
Why Finikoudes matters to investors
Finikoudes combines a beach, a pedestrian promenade, restaurants, business activity and central urban infrastructure. The opening of a renovated branded hotel indicates that an international operator sees long-term potential in Larnaca’s central coastal zone. Accor’s representative specifically highlighted the company’s confidence in the Cyprus market and its ambition to expand in key Mediterranean destinations.
For owners of apartments and commercial premises, this does not guarantee automatic price appreciation. However, the arrival and expansion of recognised operators can increase the district’s visibility, improve the quality of local supply and support demand from both business and leisure visitors. Properties within walking distance of the promenade, but without the highest first-line price premium, may deserve particular attention.
Investor takeaway
The new ibis Styles is another signal that central Larnaca is becoming a stronger investment location in its own right. When evaluating property near Finikoudes, buyers should look beyond distance to the sea and assess views, noise, parking, building condition, short-term rental rules and demand outside the peak season. An international brand confirms confidence in the area, but actual returns still depend on the entry price and the quality of the individual asset.
